Kids Playhouse Slide Plans DIY Children Outdoor Playset Wood Shelter Playground

These DIY plans will show you how to build your own Play Structure. These are traditional Outdoors playsets. It is a sturdy design to handle all the abuse your kids could do to it. You save money by buying the material locally. The nice part about building your own is that if a piece does get wrecked you can easily replace just that piece. You could have this for generations. Mine is still holding up great after 32 years of love.

What is a Playground Structure to Play on?
There are many different types of play structures for children to enjoy. Here are the different types of structures. Climbers, Slides, Tunnels, Monkey bars, and more! If you are planning a playground for your little one, you can start by determining which type of playground structure your child will enjoy. There are also different types of climbing structures, as well as different shapes and sizes. All of these types of structures are suitable for different ages and levels of development.

Slides
A playground slide is one of the most popular play equipment. Slides promote balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. Climbing and sliding require hand-foot coordination and fine coordination. Climbing up a slide also requires a child to exercise patience and gauge safety while others are using the slide. Children learn patience, spatial awareness, and self-control by negotiating the slide. Children also learn to be patient while waiting for other users to finish the slide.

Climbers
Children naturally gravitate to climbing activities. Climbing is part of a child's development and happens spontaneously without any external direction. Climbers on playground structures offer a wide variety of challenge levels and benefit the entire developmental spectrum. Children who climb are more likely to increase cardiovascular health as they reach for rungs above their shoulders. Developing leg and grip strength is also a benefit of climbing up ladders and walls.

Tunnels
One of the most fun things for kids to do on a playground is to explore the tunnels. These fun playground structures offer multiple benefits, including promoting social development. Children learn patience, tolerance, and fair play through playtime in the tunnels. Additionally, these structures are a fun way to move around and hide. With a little imagination, kids can turn a tunnel into anything they can imagine.

Monkey bars
Monkey bars on a playground structure can be a great way to develop your child's physical skills. These versatile features are an excellent way to build upper body strength, while also strengthening the core. Children learn to master these skills while practicing patience, an important lesson to learn early on. Also, children will learn to respect others' patience and not push them when waiting to use the bars. This can be a great way to foster socialization.

Sand Boxes
A sand box is a shallow plastic container filled with sand that children can easily access and play on. Commercially manufactured sand boxes also feature covers that prevent animals from contaminating the sand. Make sure your sandbox has proper drainage to avoid stagnant water. A sand box is an excellent way to promote sensory development in young children. Adding a sand digger to the sandbox also increases the learning potential of your sandbox.

Spring riders
Imaginative play is an important part of childhood development and playing on a spring rider is a great way to encourage that development. By acting out stories and pretending to be an adult, children learn to use language and explore different meanings of words. By engaging in pretend play, children learn important skills such as empathy and emotional literacy. Spring riders encourage imaginative play and help children develop important skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving.
