Build your own Garage with a 2 bedroom apartment plans DIY Carriage House
These DIY plans are for a large garage with a 2 bedroom apartment above. The footprint of this Garage Apartment is quite large. It is 37’ 4” X 26’ wide. That is over 970 sq/ft of garage and the same for the apartment. The garage level has a full bathroom and the utility room for the apartment, but still leaves plenty of room for your vehicles and toys. The apartment has a 2nd bathroom upstairs plus 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and dining room. You will notice from the pictures that there are 2 options for the roof line. The dimensions will not change but it certainly gives the building 2 distinct looks.
What Is a Garage With an Apartment?
If you're wondering what is a garage with an apartment, you're not alone. There are several different types of apartments. Many of them are Prefab and have an additional apartment above them. In some cases, you can get a 2 bedroom apartment above a 3-car garage. Often, these types of apartments come with amenities.
Prefab garages with apartments
Garage apartments are a great way to make your home more functional. They can double as a workshop or a living space. You can even place a big screen television in your garage so that you can watch your favorite sporting event without disturbing your neighbors. You can also use this space for entertaining or hosting parties.
Garage apartments can also be used for guest suites if you have elderly parents or an out-of-town guest. A design with a garage apartment on one level is ideal for such situations. If you are planning on building a guest suite, you'll want to make sure that you choose a plan with easy access.
The garage building shown here is built with two ten-foot dormers that allow for an open-air living area. The second story can be converted to another use as well, such as a guest house or a Granny Pod. Originally, most prefab garages are very simple structures. However, Fred, a homeowner from Upstate New York, wanted a unique design for his two-car garage. He took two years to complete the project.
A garage with loft is a great way to add extra living space to your home. Most families are running out of space for storage, so this option is an excellent way to add more living space without adding more space. Lofts are also ideal for storing seasonal decorations, family mementos, and even clothing.
2 car garages create a 2 bedroom suite
A 2 car garage can be converted into an additional bedroom, family room, or a separate apartment, depending on your needs. Many people use their garage for a variety of purposes, including hosting parties. However, if your garage is small, you may not be able to accommodate all your guests. If you'd like to have more room, you can even add an attic.
A two-car garage with a bonus room above is a great option for adding a second level to your home. Its two single doors and one side entrance are convenient for parking, and there's enough space above the garage for a small bonus room. This room is ideal for a guest suite, in-law suite, or rec room. It also features decorative dormers, which add an attractive appearance.
A 2 car garage is a great option for homeowners who want to maximize their living space. The added space provides ample storage for two vehicles. This type of storage can also accommodate extra furniture. The additional space will add more value to your property. A two-car garage is also an ideal choice for those who don't need a lot of space for their vehicles.
When planning a 2 car garage, keep in mind the size of your car. You'll want one that's about 24 feet long at the very least. While this may seem like a lot, it's important to remember that these spaces are intended to hold cars, and not the other way around. For example, if you have a Mini Cooper, the space will be approximately 12 feet long, while a Ford Explorer, a similar SUV, or a minivan will be 17 feet long.
3 car garages create a 2 bedroom suite
Modern house plans often include three car garages. These garages include an elegant primary suite on the first floor, and the second floor provides additional living space and storage space. A mudroom includes lockers for storing items that need to be moved from the car to the garage, and there's also a large pantry and closet under the stairs. The second floor offers a large living space that can comfortably accommodate guests. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom on the second floor.
A 3 car garage is a great investment for a home. It can double as a guest suite or auxiliary parking for live-in relatives or tenants. In addition, many 3-car garage plans include an apartment above the garage. These additional living spaces can be used for storage or as a second family room or home gym.
When building a three-car garage, it is important to consider the size of your vehicles. In most cases, a 24x36 garage is enough for three cars to park side-by-side. This gives you enough room to open and close the doors without scratching the vehicle next to you. It also allows plenty of space to walk around.
When looking for a three-car garage, make sure you leave two feet of wiggle room on all sides. This is important to make sure the garage is large enough to accommodate all the cars and still provide enough room for extra storage.
